Manthan team analyzes and prepares synopsis for cases in varied areas of law including labor & employment, business torts, commercial litigation, product liability & consumer action, personal injury, and CAFA. These case analysis reports can be used in annual reports and blogs for external marketing, as well as in knowledge management portal for internal mining of best practices.

Manthan team reviews the entire case, analyzes key insights and prepares crisp summaries of the judicial decisions.  Case analyses are prepared by qualified lawyers, who are subject matter experts.

Our case summaries begin with a brief introduction of parties and the nature of the case, basically answering the question of why a particular legal action is before the court.  A decision may be of a trial court’s order on a motion for summary judgment, motion to dismiss, or any other challenge on the jurisdiction of the courts or a dispute related to discoveries.  A decision could also be appellate findings of a lower court’s decision, or it could be an application for judicial review of an administrative decision.  We state the statutes involved in the action and then summarize the court’s analyses.  In summarizing the court’s analyses of the dispute, we list out those important case laws relied upon by the court that contributed to the court’s decision.  In the event that there is a dissenting opinion, a case summary also briefly states as to the reason behind the dissent. This is customized to each client’s requirement.

We prepare case summaries based on the areas of law, jurisdiction, and courts.  In addition, data such as holding, the substantial question of law, and the damages if any are also captured.  Capturing object fields for each case helps in trend analysis in the industry as well as within the firm.  Using case analyses, clients save time while gaining individual and collective intelligence into judgment trends in a given area of litigation.  This can be used for better marketing, avoiding unnecessary litigation and sharing best practices across the firm.  It helps you position your firm as a knowledge leader in your space of expertise.
